All about Inclusive Celebrant Services

Inclusive Celebrant Services was created because we all deserve to experience true inclusion when celebrating our special moments.

Yes. It really does matter!

I created and designed this “welcome sign” to ensure that ALL people feel a sense of belonging when working with me as a Celebrant.  I genuinely care about YOU!

Who is Christine Goonan?

It is super important that you get to know a little bit about who I am to help guide you to choosing the right Celebrant just for you!

How did I become the Inclusive Celebrant that I am today?

People are my passion!

What more can I say. I am one of 7.9 billion human beings who share this world and I simply love connecting with others.

As a Registered Nurse and a Midwife, I have been privileged to welcome little ones into this world, and also have been there for those who have taken their last breath.

Over many years I have worked in the field of diversity and inclusion and continue to do so today. This is my passion and will always be so!

Family!

My family are my world! I have been ‘studying’ motherhood since 2001 and my two children have taught me the full range of emotions a human can experience!

My beautiful wife arrived in my life with perfect timing and she is my very best friend. We got married in 2023 so I know all about planning a wedding, choosing a celebrant and celebrating with those we love the most!

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging

As an Australian, our First Peoples are the Custodians of the lands on which all ceremonies and celebrations take place. I deeply respect these lands, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, people and communities.

Culture and Community

I work with all people of all cultures, ethnicity and backgrounds.

In Australia, we are so lucky to have such a diverse culture and this is what I truly love about our country.  I embrace culture, diversity and celebrate all ways of life.

Ability not Disability

I work with all people of all abilities.

It is not a persons impairment that is disabling, rather it is systemic barriers, poor attitudes and inadvertant or intential social exclusion. I support all my clients to consider and implement accessibility and inclusion at their ceremonies.

Love is Love

I respect the diversity of bodies, genders, sexuality and relationships.

Loving someone and expressing this love is a human experience. I don’t refer to ‘same-sex’ weddings or marriages. As a Celebrant I facilitate a marriage ceremony for all couples who are committed to one another.

Age does not Define Us

Age is a number and numbers need not be judged.

I work with couples who may have been married previously and are nervous about having a big celebration a second or third time around. I support couples through this and also off renewal of vows as a way to celebrate the love of those who have been together for a long time.

All Shapes and Sizes

I encourage body confidence and acceptance.

All people deserve to have a positive body image, regardless of how society and popular culture view ideal shape, size, and appearance. Celebrate being you!

What is it that I want for you?

The outcome I wish for you is to have a completely inclusive experience for not only yourselves, but also for your family and friends.

I want you to FEEL that your celebration has the tone and vibe you have always imagined!
